Understanding Comics by Scott McCloud was a very interesting read. it opened a better understanding in what comics are and how they work, as well as how one interprets them. A part that I found the most interesting was about icons, for example a simple circle with two dots and a straight line can easily be described as a face because that is what we are so use to see a face represented as.
